Adult Christian Formation

Adult Christian Formation, which we call Liturgy and Living, is the primary adult education offering on Sundays. Starting at 9:30 am in the Lower Parish Hall it features guest speakers and group discussions relevant to Memorial, Bolton Hill, and the world in which both exist.

We are excited to have an education based focus for the first several conversations this year and other later topics of interest and concern to all. Hope to see you soon!

Sept. 18. — Alexis Acciani, the Community Engagement Associate for Reading Partners Baltimore will introduce you to a program that is easily accessible with proven results! Reading Tutors work!

Sept 25 — Jennifer McDowell of ChildFirst will explain how she and her associates support public schools – especially when there is a specific need such as the unification of John Eager Howard and Westside Elementary!

Oct. 2. — David Hornbeck will discuss the Safe & Sound program, intended to keep at risk kids from being absorbed by the Juvenile Justice Machine

Oct 9th — Lauren Welch, the Diocesan leader of Deacons in Maryland, is back to discuss Social Justice issues.

Oct 16th — Rep Charles Sydnor. Justice reinvestment act. And police cameras in Baltimore.

Oct 23rd — Earl Huch, David Tracey & Heather Ford PRESENT: 100 Years of experience working in juvenile justice!

October 30th — NO L&L (taking a break because folks were up late Saturday Night at GALA2016!)

November 6th — Jennifer Pelton will introduce the Executive Director and Chief Legal Counsel from the Public Justice Center to discuss the importance of fair housing and how to achieve it.

Education for Ministry

An informational meeting about Education for Ministry, a program sponsored by the Beecken Center at The School of Theology the South will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation at  4 East University Parkway in Baltimore at 5:30 pm on Thursday, September 15.  Entry to parking is from Charles Street.  If you are interested in attending the meeting please email Stephanie Hull.  Please bring your calendars to the meeting because we will be discussing possible class times for people who wish to enroll.
