Prayer for Memorial’s Rector Search

Holy God, you have brought us through more than 150 years as your Parish Family in this place. Guide us now as we seek a new Rector.  May the Fire of your Holy Spirit energize all of us throughout this process, and may the Light of your Presence enable the Search Committee to carry out its responsibilities in openness, trust and enthusiasm. Send your Holy Spirit to all those who consider becoming our next Rector that they may listen deeply to your guidance for them. All this we ask in your Name: Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, One God for ever and ever.  AMEN.

Memorial Episcopal Church is an urban church in the city of Baltimore and a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. Over the past 30 years the parish has become a place of diverse theological viewpoints, where openness and acceptance are the norm, and diversity is encouraged.  We describe ourselves as a diverse community, worshiping God and serving people and try to live up to that vision every day.

The Core Vocations of Memorial Church provide focus and guide us as we move forward as a worshipping community.

We are committed to OUTREACH & SOCIAL JUSTICE
